COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Expiration: May 11, 2023

The Federal Government announced that the Public Health Emergency (PHE) due to COVID-19, expired on May 11, 2023.

Once the PHE ended, the pre-PHE minimum billing standards and documentation requirements were fully reinstated.

Effective May 12, 2023, providers are required to resume appropriate service provisions for billing purposes and documentation activities. In addition, PHE related cost share and prior authorization waivers are longer in effect.

Fidelis Care is working diligently to ensure the necessary changes are in place to restore our policies and procedures to pre-PHE status.
